Sabre has activated Air France and KLM’s New Distribution Capability (NDC) content in its travel marketplace, the global distribution system announced yesterday.
Sabre-connected agencies can now access “enhanced options, exclusive promotions, and more competitive fares through continuous pricing” for both airlines, according to Sabre, via its Offer and Order APIs, Sabre Red 360, Sabre Red Launchpad and a “variety of booking tools”.
The airlines' NDC content is initially available to agencies in 15 European markets, with a global roll-out following on 20 May.
Roshan Mendis, EVP and chief commercial officer of Sabre Travel Solutions, said the activation “reflects the shift towards a modern, more flexible distribution environment”.
Mendis continued: “We are focused on enabling intelligent retailing through multi-source content, ensuring agencies can easily shop, book and service NDC alongside other content types. This collaboration reinforces our vision for a marketplace where airlines can distribute personalised offers at scale, while agencies remain at the forefront of delivering value to travellers.”
Air France-KLM EVP and chief commercial officer Angus Clarke said the integration “marks a key milestone in our distribution strategy”. Clarke added: “This allows us to provide improved fares with continuous pricing, exclusive promotions, additional extra options and innovative offers such as Seat and Extra SAF Bundles.”
Texas-based Sabre claims it currently offers access to NDC content from more airlines than any other major global distribution system. Most recently, it activated Iberia NDC content in April, British Airways in March, and completed the roll-out of Lufthansa NDC content in February.
