Gemma King
The Institute of Travel Management (ITM) has announced that Gemma King will become its new chair of the board of directors from the start of May.
King, who is vice president of global corporate travel at marketing firm Omnicom, will take over from Nikki Parsons, who has been in the role for two years, following ITM’s conference at the end of April. King has already been a member of ITM’s board for several years.
“We are enormously grateful for the time and energy Nikki has generously given to the UK and Ireland’s business travel community during her time as chair,” said Scott Davies, ITM’s CEO.
“We look forward to welcoming Gemma and strongly feel that her passion, expertise and leadership will support ITM’s efforts to be the UK and Ireland’s go-to business travel association for all corporate travel buyers, suppliers and industry practitioners.”
In a statement, ITM said King would focus on the “core values to educate, inform connect and inspire its members”.
“I look forward to working on building our strong foundation and driving forward our mission,” added King. “Elevating the capabilities of travel management professionals by inspiring innovation, best practice, insights and development opportunities.”
