Blockskye is teaming up with United Airlines to debut its new B360 platform, which is designed to link spending on consumer cards with business travel management.
The US-based blockchain payments specialist has announced United as its launch supplier for B360, which allows employees to use personal, loyalty-based credit cards to pay for travel “without compromising reporting or duty of care standards”.
The new platform provides corporates with their own loyalty programme so that travellers can use their preferred payment method in exchange for booking with suppliers who “align” with their organisation’s cost or sustainability goals.
Brook Armstrong, co-CEO and co-founder of Blockskye, said B360 was its second payment platform to be launched following the introduction of BlockskyeMAX.
“We are excited to demonstrate to more customers how Blockskye's technology can drive millions of dollars in savings for large enterprise travel programmes,” added Armstrong.
Doreen Burse, senior vice president of worldwide sales for United Airlines, said: "We are pleased that Blockskye has continued its innovation in corporate travel by bringing the benefits of United Mileage-Plus to more business travellers in a manner that also benefits corporate buyers.”
In another move, Danielle Cavnor has been appointed Blockskye’s vice president of sales after joining from PwC. In her previous role, Cavnor and PwC colleague Eric Gray were named BTN's 2023 Travel Managers of the Year for pioneering work that included partnering with Blockskye.
Cavnor will now report to Blockskye’s chief commercial officer Hank Benedetti as the tech firm looks to attract more global enterprises.
"We are thrilled to welcome someone with Danielle's experience to the Blockskye team. We are set for an explosive year of growth and are pleased that Danielle will lead these efforts with the travel industry," added Michael Share, co-CEO and co-founder of Blockskye.
